Since I just bought the product and used it recently to store some gas, I have not yet had a chance to determine whether it actually extends the life of the gasoline as it claims.However, everybody that I've talked to and read says that it works and is practically the only thing out there.What I am writing to comment on is how much of this stuff you'll need.For one year storage, you need 1 oz per 2.5 gallons or 2 oz per 5 gallons.According to the bottle, you can double the amount and get 2 years storage.Thus, for 2 years storage of 5 gallons of gas, you would need to add 4 oz Sta-bil.So, this 8-ounce bottle of Sta-bil will be enough to extend the life of two 5-gallon cans for 2 years, or four 5-gallon cans for 1 year.
